An automatic (with some option) ducking effect would be amazing for creating podcasts and radio shows with dj drops and voiceovers. I think I would expect to see that option right in the samples settings.

Is there any specification on how loud does a voiceover needs to be to activate the ducking? Right now it sound like only louder voiceovers activate some sort of multiband compression, the quieter ones remain somewhat hidden in the mix.

I don’t know the specs. If you want to hear the effect, then solo the underlying track. The ducking of the voice-over lane still executes, and you hear the effect. We only lower the volume of clashing frequencies. The sound soloed is horrible, but the result is beautiful. ;-)
You can play with the volume of the VO sample to have more or less ducking..
