Seemless Wave editing

It would great to be able to move cut and pasted waves back and forth like Ableton. sometimes editing from the 1st hook to the third hook, bridge etc. can help with seamless edits. sometimes we need to take overdubs out of the edit. The 1st chorus edit may not have the same overdubs that the third hood may have? I hope i’m explaining this correctly?
