Save transitions to the individual track so that when creating a new mix from scratch, a user can import a previously used track with the same transition start/end points, stems, automation, and fx.
As a former Mixmeister Pro user, it made the workflow so easy because I could highlight an entire mix, right-click, and save all of the transitions for each individual track. As a lifelong radio mixshow DJ, our playlists evolve, meaning we found ourselves playing many of the same songs each week. I could create mixes with lighting-fast speed when I was in a time crunch and needed to make a quick mix to play on air while prepping for a concert or club gig in the "real world".

We do save the transition position of the last used position. The rest would be irrelevant since we don't know to which track you mixed it. I reckon you're not only having cookie-cutter transitions, right?

Given that transitions are between two tracks, it should be possible for software to record the parameters of the transition between them. A compound index (of the two fields to contain the data pointing to the two tracks in the transition) could be used in the database with a variable length field that stores the parameters of the record.
This would be very similar in how you record the transition within the mixset, except it is stored in a separate table within the database and accessible from any mixsets where the two tracks are sequenced in the mix.
It should also be possible for more than one transition to be recorded for the two tracks and the desired transition selected where the index is not the primary key index (which is used once selected). Saving the transition copies the transition parameters into the transitions table from the mixset, whereas loading a transition copies the transition parameters from the tranmsitions table into the mixset.
A simple icon (ie: floppy disc) that invokes a drop-down menu within the transition envelope header would be sufficient and the user could give the transition type a specific name to distinguish it from other transitions for the two tracks.
It could be the icon is black when there is no transition saved, red when changes made to the transition within the mix have not been saved to the global transitions table, blue when saved and orange when there is transitions yet to be selected.
This would also allow more than one transition where the operator can define different areas within the tracks as the transition envelope and different styles of transition.
This would be particularly useful where repetition is high such as production of a weekly show be it streamed or broadcasted. I spend quite a bit of time perfecting rather layered/complex yet very effective transitions. It would be great to be able to quickly re-use them in future mix-sets with very little effort on the basis the effort has already been invested.
