Phrasing Mechanics Between Cue Point Markers

This is pretty much the whole reason I'd consider using DJ Studio over some sort of traditional DAW - however it appears that you can only quickly delete phrases if using with rekordbox.
What I'm asking for is the ability to treat sections of the song marked with cue points as a phrase. This would mean a cue point to cue point portion of the song could easily be selected to be copied, cut, or deleted. Using the shift select to cut out portions of a song is far too tedious and at this point seems to be a job more suited for a traditional DAW.
I'm not asking for all songs analyzed to have automatic phrase detection, I get that that's a rekordbox thing. That's fine, I'm just saying those mechanics of manipulating the phrasing of songs is where the power of this software is to me and it's a shame that currently this can only be utilized in conjunction with your rekordbox library.
Would love to see this change as it would make DJ Studio that much more useful.

I'm a Serato user and tagging phrases would be something extra, but at the moment I even miss tagging hotcues

Yes Phrase detection is high on our list. Treading CUE points as markers to select portions of the track is not a good idea. There are so many different uses of the CUE points that it would only benefit a small portion of the users.
You can simly shift select the phrases. Select the first, go to the last one you want, press shift-select and all phrased in between are selected..
An other option is to set split markers:
Once you have two or more markers, you simply press the header of the track to mark it as a block.

Wow! Thanks for your thorough response! That is very helpful to know! And yes, I tend to agree proper implementation of phrases would be much better than using CUE points.
Also multi-selecting phrases is great & split markers are very helpful as well! (I wasn't sure how to use them before, now I will use them regularly)
One thing I'm wondering, why do we need two split markers? Could not just one allow you to select/copy/cut/delete the end/beginning of a song? This does seem to be possible in certain circumstances as seen in the screenshot below, but mostly is not allowed. Could this be a bug? (that is actually a feature haha)

They are Split / Markers. Handy to mark positions in your track. We even store them in the mix so if you reopen the mix they are still there...

How about also storing split markers with the track in the library database as it is likely they will be used in other mix-sets?

So I've looked into it and you can import all of your songs into rekordbox for free, perform the phrase analysis on them, then import them into DJ Studio to use the phrasing functionality. However, I'm of the belief that the mechanics of "phrase editing" in DJ Studio should not be exclusive to rekordbox users who have performed phrase analysis; but for now this workaround is sufficient I guess - would still be nice to see an improvement in this area though.
