Cutting a 5 minute section out of a long 12"

Hi,

Whilst creating a mix with DJ Studio.
My first track is very long, it's a brilliant track and remix barring the middle section which goes on a little too long.
I want to cut this section out.
So far I have split a section for the first cut and ending cut, deleted that section out, no problem at that stage.
My problem is on the join, it sounds like the record is jumping, needs smoothing out, a small bar section etc, until it sounds just right.
I have tried deleting a full bar out but it still doesn't sound right, it sounds like someone bumping into the turntables in the 90's :-)

Anyone else had this problem, can anyone offer some tips?
I have tried splitting a really small section but I am unable to select split?

    I agree and have the same issue. The only way I can think of now is adding the track twice and mix out the unwanted part that way. Using the way I see in the video is nice but I need to tweak the point where to transition. So I need to be able to move the continuing part. That seems not possible at least not when the track already has a transition later in the mix.
    I probably want to do that a lot so would be a useful addition to be able to remove pieces per multiple of 8 or 16 beats and choose a transition to smooth it up.
    Btw - I am just starting to use the program. I find the user interface quite non-intuitive.

    Please first make sure your beatgrid is set correctly. After that you can cut exactly on the beat. If you get in trouble you can also copy a part of your track to the sampel lane and then crossfade that into your original track. A bit of a hack but it works.

      Thanks again Siebrand, just watched your video, I had not seen that video before.
      Great, Very intuitive!.

      I think I have a few things to look at, Beat Map the whole track to the grid and not just the mixing /transition area - Something I had been ignoring on my journey.

      I was just correctly the the intro and outro areas of my mixes, which was fine until i needed to get a little creative in the middle of the track section.

      I need to explore the sample lane and use this feature a little more.
