Controller integration

Hi, I really love the features of DJ.Studio, its quite intuitive - Well done. As a Dj I was looking for software specifically for mixes for Youtube. I'm finding the mixes clanky and levels really hard to maintain. Any thoughts on Controller integration?

    I agree.

Adding more Keyboard Mapping as well as the MIDI Assignments already requested.

So many controls do not have any way to adjust other than click and drag, where the sensitivity of the mouse set by the system although suitable for moving that pointer around, does not have the granularity to get for example the dials to the desired setting when dragging.

I keyboard mapping and/or midi control assignment is more efficient, effective and accurate.

SETTING FOCUS ON CONTROL GROUPS (ie Tabs, channels)

Given there is repetition of controls depending on the Deck/Sample lanes, the keyboard mapping could be for the control that is currently displayed on

Having options to facilitate keyboard midi control mappings to select the (a) main view and controls (such as master gain) from the navigation bar; (b) the tabs (especially the Transition, Track, Effects and Master Tabs) as well as set the focus of which channel is to be viewed and subject to control adjustment will end one of my frustrations) To be able to adjust settings on either deck in real-time would help immensely.

There is also enough room on the screen to facilitate selection of which audio channel to give focus to under the Track and Effects tabs.

A row of horizontally stacked buttons in order of the channels (deck 1, Deck 2, Sample 1, Sample 2, Sample 3, VoiceOver) would be sufficient.

Single-Click could set the focus toggles between the current timeline editor channel layout and exclusive zooms for the channel in the timeline editor. Holding down Ctrl while clicking could also open the timeline to maximum size by closing down the tabs section which is currently necessary for granular adjustment to automations.

Having hot keys that command vertical zoom of one or more channels (decks, semples, etc.) to get quick perspective of the automations as well as set focus to that channel for controls that can set further focus to specific automations (like switch back/forward in a rotary style through the automations in effect on a track in the deck) would also help immensely.

This also means midi dials could be set for such rotary selection when in exclusive focus mode of automations and dials with button-press or separate midi button could enable/disable exclusive focus mode for the automations for the channel.

Another dial or set of keyboard presses could be configured for example to increase, decrease or reset values associated with various elements - such as bpm markers, volume, EQ, and so-on.

The first step is get the functionality in there and perhaps have a competition who can come up with the best mappings that the customer base can participate in.

I remember when Traktor 2 came out in ~2003 before dedicated control surfaces and I had every control mapped to a keyboard sequence for all 4 decks, mixer, master control, library…
