Bulk Track Beatgrid Quantization and export

Feature Request

I am a novice to this software, meaning I just bought it. My primary purpose of purchasing this was to quantize beatgrids of music in my library. I watched “The BEST solution how to quantize disco music for your live sets” youtube video and my first tracks are perfectly quantized. However, I have a significant amount of (disco) tracks that require quantization. Is there a means of doing a bulk track analysis, AI quantization, and export? If not I would recommend this as a feature. If possible, keeping the TrackID information in tact with “(Quantized)” added after the track name.

I use Platinum Notes for volume normalization and one of my biggest complaints is that it deletes all the TrackID information to where I have to reinsert it into my library manually.

    I can only offer suggestions based on my own experience.

    GAIN & COMPRESSION

    I use ffmpeg to determine LUFS and have written scripts to batch analyze files in folders/subfolders recursively as well as process text files containing file paths. AI can assist you in writing such scripts.

    LUFS (Loudness Units relative to Full Scale) is a unit of measurement for perceived audio loudness. It's used to standardize audio levels across different platforms and devices, ensuring a consistent listening experience. Unlike peak volume (dBFS), which measures the highest point of a signal, LUFS measures the average loudness over a period of time, taking into account how humans perceive loudness.

    I never change the amplitude/loudness of the original source material, instead I use Gain first, then Compression (only as necessary) within DJ Studio, Ableton, Traktor, Serato, Recordbox etc... Compression reduces the harmonic depth of the music so the desire for loudness must outweigh the sacrifice in harmonics.

    ffmpeg does not have compression or limiting dsp chain when writing new audio files so there is a risk of distortion where the gain is increased to such an extent the peaks exceed the digital audio ceiling.

    QUANTIZED BEAT GRIDS

    As there are two quantize modes: AI & AI FLEX, each of which are more accurate under specific circumstances, it is a trial and error process where I use the metronome to check the accuracy of the beat grids particularly with 70s & early 80s disco.

    Batch mode cannot guarantee 100% accuracy as it cannot check which method is more accurate on a track-by-track basis.

    Further, I keep track gain and compression, master gain and ceiling at 0% when exporting to new quantized tracks however I keep them separate to the masters which remain the source within DJ Studio and other DAWs. I do them manually one at a time and the investment is worth it.
