Automix/transition tools not very useful for non electronic music

I make simple mixtapes of a broad range of music. I would like to see a way to turn off all the bells and whistles and have a more DAW like interface and easier manual transitions. I guess i'm looking for an updated Mixmeister that works well, works with modern formats and I like the functionality you have but it isn't needed for a lot of genres that are not electronic or mixing electronic and analog music.

In Mixmeister I could import tracks, sort by BPM and there would be killer transitions that barely had to be tweaked. Maybe I had to move a track down while snapping to beat. Then I would re-arrange so that the mix went fast and slower, keeping the really good transitions between some songs that matched up well.

This is my critique after only 10 mins. trying a few things out. perhaps i'll play with it more tomorrow and find something I missed that makes it more of what I am looking for. I almost just bought it but i'm glad I didn't. It feels like it would be way harder to do the same things.

also...how about import mixmeister playlists? probably a license thing. would be great to import old playlists to update and review in this new software.
