3 BPM Algorithm Tolerance in Automix

Feature Request

For algorithm tolerance in automix options, for some reason the options are 2 BPM, 4 BPM and Infinity (key based). This is a curious choice since it's widely known that the sweet spot (or max) is 3 BPM. Please make 3 BPM an option for algorithm tolerance.

    For me, mixing older music that could do with a tempo boost for modern dancefloors, I’d happily boost by up to 10bpm so the harmonise tollerance just doesn’t really work at all. 4bpm is way too low, and infinity is of course way too high! I can’t see why this can’t just be a user determined value..?

    I support the idea of refining the BPM tolerance in the Automix feature. However, I propose an approach based on a percentage difference rather than a fixed BPM value because a fixed the tempo change is more noticeable at lower speeds.

    Example Explanation:

    1. Lower BPM Range: For a track at 100 BPM, a change of 3 BPM to 103 BPM represents a 3% increase. This difference can be more perceptible, as the tempo change is more noticeable at lower speeds.

    2. Higher BPM Range: Conversely, for a track at 130 BPM, increasing by 3 BPM to 133 BPM results in only about a 2.3% increase. This smaller percentage makes the change less audible, demonstrating that a fixed BPM adjustment doesn't equally affect all tempo ranges.

    Using a percentage-based approach, such as a 3% tolerance, allows for more nuanced adjustments:

    • At 130 BPM, a 3% increase would take the tempo to approximately 134 BPM

    • At 100 BPM, a 3% increase would raise the tempo to 103 BPM.
